It’s arrived. After a brown sky this morning caused by Sahara sand the wind finally started to rise at about 1pm and it’s now blowing a constant 30mph out there with gusts in the 60’s. Standing isn’t easy!
So it’s an ex-hurricane (Ophelia) about to strike us, but it’s going to be very windy later and the entirety of Ireland is going to get the brunt of it.
It’s not very often hurricanes turn and hit us but when they do they generally show how woefully unprepared we are.
